I too love all the summer fruit; it's one of the best things about the season. These blueberry bars look fabulous. I've never made homemade jam, but it sounds like a fun thing to do! I love sour cherries for baking, but they're so hard to find. You're lucky you've been able to find some.

In the summer, I like to make a little jam (or compote) with the fruit that's heading south. I've created some, er, interesting combinations that way. What a good idea to spread it on shortbread cookies!

Blueberries are in season where I live and this crumble looks great. I like the idea of adding spices to the crumble. I am vegan so I will use vegan butter though!
